What is an
Autoimmune Disease?

Our bodies have a fabulous immune system, which is a complex network of cells and organs that defends the body against foreign invaders of any kind. When an individual with a genetic and biological predisposition succumbs to an autoimmune condition, it results in the body attacking its own healthy tissue. Some autoimmune diseases are very serious, chronic and debilitating conditions commonly treated with pharmaceuticals.

 

According to the National Institutes of Health, up to 23.5 million Americans (more than seven percent of the population) suffer from an autoimmune disease—and that number is rising. These numbers reflect a 300% increase over the past decade, making Autoimmune an epidemic crisis.

Although patients are told everyday that there is no cure, Stem Cell Therapy has reversed these conditions and even cured patients! Unfortunately, there are little to no clinical trials being done to make these treatments available. In addition the therapy is expensive, and not yet covered by insurance. It is, in fact, a very serious indicator and often misunderstood by family, friends, and co-workers.

 

If you are suffering from these general conditions you should get tested. Getting hormones, balanced, proper exercise and "good " sleep while addressing other issues and solutions is at the core of getting your energy back!

 Your body wants to be healthy! Detox! You have to get the bad stuff out first!

 

In order to heal you have to rid your body of toxins. And that means cleansing your body from the inside out.

 

Get rid of toxic relationships, test for mold in your home, get stress out of your life!  Drink lots of water and do a juice detox regimen. There are many to chose from!

 

Don't take a bunch of supplements on top of a dirty engine, it's NOT going to work. You are out of balance. You have to do an overhaul!

There is a host of alternative practices that have been developed to successfully treat and calm the immune system; techniques that greatly improve the quality of life for the person with a chronic illness.

STRESS

How we manage day to day responsibilities are just as important as the home we live in. Surrounding yourself with positive vibrations will keep your body grounded and in balance. 

 

The way you handle stress has a lot to do with perspective. 

 

Yoga, Meditation, Mindfulness and living in the present with gratitude are all great ways to manage stress.

 

And yes, laughter is the best medicine. Take time for you.

Many toxins in our world are unavoidable, but toxic household chemicals, toxic foods, and toxic people are all part of your environment that you do have control over.

 

Check your house for toxic mold. Test your water for chemicals. Make sure you get enough sunshine. And smile.

 

Your environment is not just where you live but HOW you live. Are your relationships full of joy, love, and happiness?  Do you love yourself? Do you feel a sense of purpose?
